Transfer News: Juventus interested in Manchester United star David de Gea
According to Todo Fichajes, (h/t CaughtOffside), Juventus are interested in securing the services of Manchester United star David de Gea.
De Gea is considered one of the top keepers in the world, but his form has started to dip in recent seasons. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continuously retained his faith in the Spain international.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper is currently the second-highest earner at Manchester United. The report, however, suggests that Manchester United may want to shift the keeper away from Old Trafford to balance their wage bills.
The 30-year-old has secured the position between the sticks for the Red Devils and has been a dependable asset for them over the years.
Dean Henderson has played second-fiddle to the Spaniard ever since his return to Old Trafford after loan stints at Sheffield United. However, it is claimed that the 24-year-old is in line to replace the Spanish international in goal after inconsistent performances in his last few seasons, even though he has started the new season strongly.
Juventus are now looking to sign De Gea as he would be an improvement to Wojciech Szczesny at the club. Paris Saint-German are also supposedly interested in signing the Spanish keeper.
