“It’s not a done deal yet”- Fabrizio Romano hands Manchester United hope in race for 26-year-old Newcastle target

Romano says Manchester United have a chance to sign a 26-year-old target despite Newcastle United’s interest in the defender

Manchester United are reportedly losing in the race for Fulham defender, Tosin Adarabioyo as Newcastle United are also serious about signing the 26-year-old on a free transfer this summer.

The English national has a big decision to make ahead of this summer. He could choose to stay with Fulham who might try and retain him. He could join Newcastle who are eager to have him or Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

While talk would suggest Newcastle United are in the lead, Fabrizio Romano believes that the Red Devils still have a chance of singing their 26-year-old target. Let’s have a look at what he had to say about the situation. (The Daily Briefing)

“Newcastle like Adarabioyo and it could be an option, but it’s not a done deal yet, so let’s see how it develops and if other clubs enter the running.”

Romano says the situation could develop if other clubs enter the running and since Man United have a keen interest in the 26-year-old Newcastle might lose out on him. The Red Devils can offer a higher salary and better facilities.

Moreover, Man United have better chances of playing in European competitions than the Magpies so that could end up being a point in their favour. The departure of Raphael Varane along with other defenders will also help the team make space for Adarabioyo.

There are a lot of factors that could still affect the deal for Tosin Adarabioyo so it’s essentially open season for all the clubs who have an interest in the player.
