Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is unaware of what the future holds at Old Trafford
According to an HITC report, as per the Manchester Evening News, Erik ten Hag is not sure whether he will be at Manchester United next season.
The Dutchman has failed to attract praises this season the same way he did in his first year at Old Trafford, with the team set to finish far away in the league from the Champions League spots.
Confusion over Ten Hag’s tactical choices and his many quibbles with his players have further soured opinion against him.
United’s new INEOS ownership are reportedly looking at Thomas Tuchel, who is set to leave Bayern Munich at the end of this season, and Gareth Southgate, who many believe will leave his post as England men’s team manager after this summer’s Euros, as potential Ten Hag replacements.
Ten Hag verdict only a matter of time
When you take into account everything that has happened at United this season, it’s easy to understand why confidence in Ten Hag is so low at this point in time.
Tactical confusion, player arguments, lack of results, and on top of that the biggest hierarchical upheaval at the club in two decades mean things keep stacking against Ten Hag in his bid to retain his job at Old Trafford.

One would say that a slate as clean as possible would help United’s rebuild, and if it has to come down to choosing between Tuchel and Southgate, it wouldn’t be outlandish to suggest most United fans would choose the former.
