Juventus, Real Madrid eyeing cut-price deal for Paul Pogba

According to Eurosport (h/t Express), The likes of Juventus and Real Madrid are eyeing Manchester United star Paul Pogba.

The French international’s contract at the club expires in 2022. It was revealed by his agent Mino Raiola that he is keen to leave the club in the coming windows. The superagent dismissed the idea of the midfielder leaving in January with the summer looking a more likely time. (h/t Metro)

However, Juventus are not keen to wait until the summer. The Italian giants are seeking to sign the midfielder in the January transfer window.

The Italians are aware that they could face more competition for Pogba’s signature over the summer. They are keen to steal a march and land him next month itself.

With time running out on his current deal, Juventus are seeking to sign Pogba for a measly £50m. This significantly pales in comparison to United’s £80m valuation of the player.

Juventus believes that valuation is unrealistic. They are, however, willing to sanction a player exchange deal instead.

One player who could be offered is former Red Devil Cristiano Ronaldo. Soon to be 36, the Portuguese superstar continues to rank amongst the best players in world football. However, a deal for him could be complicated owing to his wages.
