Bruno Fernandes reveals Manchester United stars were unhappy following Leicester clash

According to BT Sport (h/t The Mirror), Bruno Fernandes has revealed the unhappiness that was prevalent in the Manchester United dressing room following the draw against Leicester City.

United lead twice only to be pegged back by the Foxes. Given the chances we had, it is fair to say that the players have every right to be displeased with a point.

The Red Devils have picked up their performances of late and have emerged as genuine title challengers. Hence, Saturday will be seen as two points dropped.

“I was really happy when I got in the dressing room and I saw everyone disappointed and saying the things we had to do better.”

Fernandes was pleased to see that his teammates were unhappy with the result. He believes it helps foster a winning mentality within the squad.

“You are creating a winning mentality and we are not happy with this point.”

United created a number of chances but were unable to put them away. Marcus Rashford was particularly at fault as he missed two gilt-edged opportunities.

Fernandes was at the centre of both goals United scored on the night. He assisted Rashford in opening the scoring on the night. The Portuguese then scored to put his side ahead for a second time.

Unfortunately, Jamie Vardy brought the Foxes level and for now, stay ahead of United in the league table. Fernandes believes Leicester is a good team but United deserved the three points on the night.

“We have to be frustrated and we have to do much better in three days.”

United however have no time to worry about the dropped points and will need to prepare to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday.

If the players are as upset as Fernandes thinks, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have a motivated bunch to call upon to take on the pack.
