Manchester United are looking to make a move for temporary starter for Real Madrid

As reported by Spanish publication Fichajes, Manchester United are expected to make a move for Real Madrid star, Andriy Lunin this summer. The 25-year-old has been enjoying a string of consistent minutes with the Los Blancos.

Lunin would’ve no doubt been warming the beach at Real Madrid if it wasn’t for the injury picked up by Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian goalkeeper has struggled to regain his health and is yet to see any action this season.

Luckily for the Los Blancos Lunin has been in fine form. The 25-year-old has made 28 appearances for the club conceding 25 goals while maintaining 12 clean sheets. He has played a key role in Madrid’s success this season.

Now that Lunin has got the attention of multiple top-flight clubs, he no longer has to go back to the Real Madrid bench. In fact, he doesn’t have to go back to any benches at all which might be an issue for Manchester United.

The Red Devils already have Andre Onana standing in goal for them. While the Cameroonian goalkeeper makes a ton of mistakes, it is highly unlikely that he would be benched due to the arrival of Lunin.

So, Man United might be going after the 25-year-old to get a quality backup on the team. However, thanks to all the minutes he’s enjoyed this season, Andriy Lunin has outgrown that role and now needs minutes to shine.
