Manchester United forward Rasmus Hojlund shared his delight on Instagram after helping his team achieve a dramatic 3-4 victory
Manchester United star Rasmus Hojlund celebrated the dramatic 3-4 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers with an Instagram story. United defeated Wolves 3-4 away at Molineux Stadium in the Premier League clash to build some much-needed momentum.
The Red Devils are currently seventh in the Premier League table, eight points away from the top-four finish. United faced a miserable first half of the season, facing early elimination from the Champions League and the Carabao Cup. Furthermore, they have lost nine games in the Premier League, causing a lot of damage to the current season’s expectations.
United signed Hojlund during the summer to bolster their attacking lineup with a proper goal scorer. The 20-year-old struggled to live up to the heavy price tag, facing a severe goal drought in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, he enjoyed immense backing from the fanbase and the British media and delivered many promising performances. Hojlund scored his first Premier League goal on the boxing day against Aston Villa and has continued his productive form.
The Denmark international has made 27 appearances in all competitions so far, contributing with nine goals and two assists. He has scored a goal in each of the last three Premier League games in which he started.
Hojlund scored in the 22nd minute of the game against Wolves to take United’s early lead 2-0. However, Wolves fought back bravely to take the scoreline 3-3 in the extra time of the second half.
Nevertheless, Kobbie Mainoo showed his sensational skills to give United an emphatic late victory over Wolves. The dramatic victory and sensational performances from youngsters like Hojlund and Mainoo received big praise from the media. Hojlund used Instagram to celebrate the victory over Wolves, showing once again that he is a United fan first.
