Jose Mourinho could soon be back with Manchester United
As reported by The Daily Mail, former Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho could make his way back to Old Trafford. The team has been through a world of trouble this season and Erik ten Hag could lose his job if the situation doesn’t improve.
With this in mind, the former coach has emerged as a prime candidate. Mourinho has also said that he feels like he has unfinished business with Manchester United. The team saw a lot of success during his time at the helm.
In just his first season at Old Trafford, Mourinho helped the team lift the Europa League title and the Carabao Cup. But The Glazers weren’t too impressed with him and he was axed after two and a half years at the helm.
Mourinho has even gone on record to say that a lot of players from his time at the club are still there but they don’t deserve to be. So, if he is hired fans can expect the squad to undergo some major changes.
However, his return to Old Trafford is still a long time away. Erik ten Hag still has a ton of opportunities to save his season. The team is still competing for the FA Cup and also have a shot at ending top four in the Premier League.
The Old Trafford squad is showing signs of life during the second half of the season, if the Dutchman can capitalise on this newfound momentum then fans just might get to witness a comeback.
