Manchester United could lose out on their summer target to PSG

As reported by The Sun, Manchester United stand to lose out on their summer target to PSG. Paris Saint-Germain are currently leading the race for the signature of Bruno Guimaraes who will likely not be continuing at Newcastle next season.

The Premier League side needs to sell players if they wish to meet FPP regulations and Guimaraes is the perfect candidate to do so. Reports suggest that PSG are willing to pay the full £100m for the 26-year-old.

The French club will lose Kylian Mbappe in the summer who is widely considered as one of the best players in the world at the moment. Now, PSG will surely have to make some big name signing to soften the blow for their fans.

The only reason PSG are currently ahead of Manchester United is because the 23-year-old midfielder wants to play Champions League football. The French side will undoubtedly be winning the Ligue 1 this season.

So, they’ll be enjoying European football next season as well. The Red Devils on the other hand are currently sixth on the Premier League table. Their chances of making the UCL are getting slimmer with every game they play.

If Manchester United fail to grab a top-four spot, they can say goodbye to their hopes of signing Bruno Guimaraes. The 23-year-old is one of the best midfielders in the world at the moment.

In 42 appearances Guimaraes has recorded 10 goal contributions for his team. Manchester United will surely not want to miss out on such a talent. Hopefully, they’ll be able to make the UCL and lure Guimaraes over to Old Trafford.
