Everton and Sevilla interested in signing Manchester United star Hannibal Mejbri on loan this summer
Several teams including Everton and Sevilla have shown interest in securing a loan deal for Tunisian starlet Hannibal Mejbri. However, Manchester United believes that the midfielder has the potential to make a significant impact under Erik ten Hag this season.
According to The Athletic, Everton and Sevilla have held discussions with the Red Devils regarding the possibility of loaning the 20-year-old for the remainder of the current season.
During the summer, Luton Town seemed to be the top contender for securing a loan deal with Hannibal.

There was also interest from clubs like Feyenoord and Rennes. However, it was believed that a move to another Premier League team would provide the most suitable environment for the youngster’s development.
Hannibal had a loan spell at Birmingham City in the Championship last season, which was a valuable learning experience for the young player.
Birmingham played a defensive style of football that didn’t provide much room for a technically gifted player like Hannibal to shine. Instead, his attitude and work ethic were key to his success, resulting in 41 appearances, one goal, and six assists for the Blues.
A successful loan stint in the Championship is often seen as a benchmark for a player’s ability to handle the Premier League.
If you can perform well in English football’s lower division, you should be able to hold your own in the top tier.
This perspective holds true for the African star in the eyes of United’s staff, who believe the Tunisian has the talent to make a significant impact for the club this season.
However, a lack of playing time at Old Trafford could be the only issue, as he was recently overlooked for the match against Nottingham Forest.

United’s midfield has faced significant criticism after the first three matches of the season. There have been moments when the team appeared unbalanced, with both Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes often playing further up the field than Casemiro.
A player like Hannibal, who possesses an aggressive style and strong physical attributes, could be a valuable addition from the bench in games where the Red Devils are struggling in midfield.
Ten Hag’s side might be reluctant to let their prized asset go because they see him as a potential solution to their midfield issues.
However, their ongoing pursuit of a defensive midfielder could help them gain the much-needed midfield strength.
