As reported by Spanish outlet AS, Manchester United have not been happy with how Hannibal Mejbri has been treated by Sevilla. The Tunisian midfielder is currently on loan to the La Liga club. The Spanish side also have the option to make his loan permanent.

Mejbri’s loan spell started back in January. Since then the 21-year-old has only made four appearances for Sevilla. The Red Devils have been extremely unhappy about the Tunisian’s lack of playing time.

The 21-year-old was sent out on loan to sort of prove himself. A lot of people at Old Trafford rate Mejbri highly, but Erik ten Hag didn’t seem convinced. Even the Dutchman was often hesitant to play the Tunisian.

However, his situation hasn’t improved despite the move. The season is also very close to ending, so it is unlikely that Mejbri will be able to do something meaningful during the rest of his time in Spain.

Another year wasted for a young player who is in desperate need of playing time. If the 21-year-old’s situation doesn’t improve upon his return to United he might find himself short on options.

Erik ten Hag should consider giving Mejbri a chance next season. The Tunisian has a ton of potential and could grow into a star for Old Trafford.
