Hannibal Mejbri sheds light on his reason behind leaving Manchester United for Sevilla.
Hannibal Mejbri has just recently left Manchester United as the club reached a loan deal with Sevilla. The Tunisian midfielder is one of the best young talents that the Red Devils have at the moment.
However, due to a lack of playing time under Erik ten Hag, the player was promptly moved over to La Liga. The Spanish club also has a buy option included in the deal.
So, there is a very real possibility that if Mejbri’s loan stint is a success, he will become a permanent member of the Sevilla outfit. Something which will not please the Old Trafford fans.
Let’s have a look at what the player had to say about his time away from the club. (h/t Mirror)
“The game here was crazy,”
“Before coming, my United teammates told me about the fans, the atmosphere there. It’s nice to play for a team with fans like this because they help you when you’re in difficult times.”
His explanation that about how nice the Sevilla fans are could be taken as a dig aimed at the Manchester United fans. We all know how quick the fans are to turn on their players when they don’t perform.
This has also been the case for Anthony Martial. He was worshipped during his best days, and everyone including the fans is waiting for the club to move on from him.
The 20-year-old will be getting consistent playing time for the first time in his senior team career. Everyone is counting on him to make the most out of this opportunity.
