Real Madrid and PSG eyeing free transfer for Manchester United target Harry Kane
European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are eyeing a move for Manchester United target Harry Kane on a free transfer, according to the Daily Mail (h/t The Sun).
The Tottenham Hotspur striker’s current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2024 (transfermarkt). As a result, the 29-year-old could see out his deal at Spurs and leave as a free agent at the end of next season.
At the moment, the forward is a key target for the Red Devils. However, Los Blancos and the Parisians are set to challenge the Old Trafford side to acquire his services.
Madrid have Karim Benzema leading their line for now. However, the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner is 35 and the Santiago Bernabeu side are planning for life without the French national.
On the other hand, PSG have an abundance of talent in the attack with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar. But the Parc des Princes side are going to lose the two former Barcelona forwards soon.
As for United, Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst are the only two natural number nines at Erik ten Hag’s disposal as things stand. However, the two have not contributed much this season.
Marcus Rashford has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ attack since the Dutch manager’s arrival. The gaffer has had to rely heavily upon the 25-year-old to find the back of the net on a consistent basis in the current campaign.

Therefore, the Old Trafford side evidently need to add a prolific striker to their ranks. Kane has vast experience and has shown his ability week in, week out in the Premier League. Hopefully, we are able to get a hold of the 29-year-old’s signature in the coming months.
