Manchester United have fallen behind in the race to sign Bayern Munich forward, Harry Kane
As reported by TeamTalk (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United’s bid for Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane might just fall apart. It is being reported that the German giants and the English striker are not ready to part ways just yet.
Why would they be when we take a look at the mind-blowing production of Kane. In 33 appearances across all competitions, the English forward has recorded 33 goals and nine assists for the team.
Bayern Munich will surely struggle to replace Kane if he leaves. There aren’t a lot of strikers in the world who can produce at a similar level. This is where the problem lies for the Red Devils.
Manchester United are in desperate need of some quality up front. Rasmus Hojlund has been scoring at a decent pace but there’s only so much that the 21-year-old can do for the team.
The Red Devils need to sign an experienced striker who will serve as a solid backup for Hojlund while also helping him develop. Now, signing Kane would’ve given them quality but the Dane would’ve suffered.
There’s no way Hojlund would be starting over Harry Kane so not getting to sign the English forward could be a good thing. The team is now fit to go after someone who can have an impact off the bench.
