Brighton & Hove Albion face massive task to keep Manchester United target Alexis Mac Allister
Premier League rivals Brighton & Hove Albion will find it hard to keep Alexis Mac Allister next summer amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Football Insider (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Seagulls have a massive task at hand to retain the services of the midfielder in the upcoming transfer window. However, the likes of the Red Devils are set to make massive offers to the Argentina international.
At the moment, the 24-year-old is on £50,000-per-week at the East Sussex-based club. While the Amex Stadium side are keen not to part ways with the 2022 World Cup winner, they will find it difficult to keep up with the personal offers from the elite teams in the English top flight.
Mac Allister is on the radar of a number of top sides in the PL. Apart from the Old Trafford side, Liverpool and Chelsea are also eyeing the midfielder.
The Argentine is enjoying an impressive spell at Brighton. Currently, Roberto De Zerbi’s team are flying high in the league. The Seagulls are contenders in the top four race as things stand.
In Qatar, the 24-year-old also helped La Albiceleste lift the prestigious golden trophy. He became a key player for Lionel Scaloni’s team as the tournament progressed and provided an assist in the final against France.
In the summer of 2022, United signed Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. The two have been pivotal players for the Red Devils in the current campaign. However, in their absence, the team have not looked their best.
The Denmark international missed the last few months due to an injury. In that time, the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay have deputised in his stead. But the two were not able to fill the 31-year-old’s void.

While Marcel Sabitzer has been decent, the Austrian is only on loan until the end of the season. Thus, quality in depth is seemingly something the Old Trafford side could do with in the middle of the park. Considering our financial might, we should try and entice Mac Allister to move to Manchester.
