Spanish giants Barcelona prefer selling Manchester United target Ansu Fati next summer rather than some of their other forwards, according to Sport (h/t The Sun).

At the moment, the Blaugrana are in somewhat of a financial crisis. As a result, the Camp Nou side are open to parting ways with some of their top stars in the upcoming transfer window.

Instead of making the likes of Ferran Torres and Raphinha available, the La Liga outfit like the idea of getting money for players such as Frank Kessie and Andreas Christensen, who arrived for free.

Barcelona’s academy graduate comes in that category as well. The Spain international is being eyed by the Red Devils. However, Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool also have the 20-year-old on their radar.

Fati made his way through the youth ranks at the Blaugrana. In the 2019/20 season, he broke onto the scene. Subsequently, the youngster was even handed the number 10 shirt after Lionel Messi’s departure in 2021.

However, over the years, injuries have hampered the 20-year-old’s development. Under Xavi, the striker has been unable to cement his place in the Camp Nou side’s starting lineup.

United’s left wing consists of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho. The 25-year-old has been in electric form this season. The England international has shouldered the burden of the Red Devils’ attack under Erik ten Hag.

The Dutch manager’s arrival has also seen Garnacho break into the team. The Argentine has put in some clutch performances in the current campaign.

However, if Fati were to arrive at the Old Trafford side in the coming months, there would seemingly be a chance of Garnacho’s opportunities dwindling. The Spaniard himself is not in the best of rhythms for now. Therefore, it would be wise to stay clear of the 20-year-old.
