Harry Kane to address Tottenham future after Euros as Manchester United links continue
Manchester United transfer target Harry Kane addressed his Tottenham Hotspur future while speaking to The Telegraph (h/t Sky Sports) as he continues to attract interest from several clubs.
Kane has been linked with a move to United, Manchester City and Real Madrid as his trophy drought at Tottenham continues. But he can change that in the Carabao Cup final in April against the Cityzens.
Spurs are having a poor season with the club out of Europe, the FA Cup, and the Premier League title race. But the 27-year-old striker has continued to produce the goods for Jose Mourinho.
He has an astonishing 43 goal contributions in 40 games for Spurs in all competitions this season. And those numbers would undoubtedly boost any team’s frontline. (Stats Credits: Transfermarkt)
Kane to Old Trafford?
But Kane, who has spent his entire career on Spurs’ books, says that his attention is not on the transfer speculations. His primary motive right now is to focus on the job at hand for his national team in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“I think that’s a hard question to answer right now. It’s important that all my focus is on the two England games coming up now and the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euros. To be thinking about speculation or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.”
And Kane adds that his focus is on finishing strongly with Spurs and then have a great Euros campaign with Gareth Southgate’s side. As for his future, he wants to ignore talking about it until at least this summer.
“I’m fully focussed on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer, and then we’ll see where we go from there.”
