Journo confirms Bayern Munich are keeping tabs on Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag amidst uncertain future

Bayern Munich could sign Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag if he leaves Old Trafford

As confirmed by Christian Falk, Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag is being scouted by Bayern Munich. It seems like the German giants are looking at the Dutchman as a replacement for Thomas Tuchel.

Funnily enough, there has also been a lot of talk suggesting that the Red Devils are looking at Munich’s Thomas Tuchel as a replacement for their manager, Erik ten Hag.

If these reports are to be believed then we might be in for some bizarre scenes this summer. However, the chances of Erik ten Hag leaving Old Trafford at the end of the summer have gone down in recent days. Here’s what Falk had to say about Munich’s interest in Ten Hag. (h/t The Daily Briefing)

“Erik ten Hag is on the list. He’s working for Manchester United currently but no one knows if he’ll still be in the job come the summer.”

Falk added that the prospect of signing Erik ten Hag has been internally discussed at Bayern Munich. So, it seems like the Dutchman will have some suitors if United give him the boot.

Talk suggests that the cost of replacing Erik ten Hag would be too great and that the higher-ups believe he hasn’t been given the right tools to succeed. A mistake on the end of the past owners.

An FA Cup win would strengthen Erik ten Hag's position at Manchester United.
An FA Cup win would strengthen Erik ten Hag’s position at Manchester United.

Moreover, Ten Hag is still competing in the FA Cup and if he wins United will have a really tough time firing a manager who has been to three and has one two finals in two years at the club.
