Transfer News: Boubakary Soumare remains a target for Manchester United
According to transfer news from TalkSPORT, Boubakary Soumare could be heading to the Premier League and Manchester United could be the destination. The Lille midfielder is among several stars that could head for the Premier League as United and Arsenal remain keen on him.
A product of the PSG youth setup, he has gone on to showcase his potential at the Stade Pierre Mauroy. An ever-present in the Lille midfield, Soumare has made 37 appearances across all competitions this season, making a solitary assist.
While his numbers may not reflect his talent, he is certainly a player with high potential. He has been attracting interest from a number of clubs. Soumare’s contract expires in the summer of 2022, leaving Lille at a disadvantage when it comes to negotiations.
United felt the absence of Paul Pogba when he was injured, highlighting the lack of quality players in central midfield. His absence coincided with United’s league form tailing off in February. Add to that, Matic is not getting any younger.

Soumare can be a wily purchase should United look to go after him. He is a snappy midfielder who likes to intercept opposition players and start attacks. United have been linked with the midfielder previously and he could be one to look out for in the summer transfer window.
