Transfer News: Manchester United have to persuade Juventus to sell Dejan Kulusevski

According to transfer news from The Sun, Manchester United will have to persuade Juventus in order to land Dejan Kulusevski. It has been reported that United are looking to renew their interest in the Juventus forward after keeping tabs on him during his Parma days.

The 20-year-old came through Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna before joining Atalanta in 2016. He impressed on loan at Parma in 2019/20 catching the attention of United for the first time.

However, Juventus won the race to land him last summer in a deal worth £31.5m. He looks like he is still adjusting to the side as Juventus manoeuvre through one of their more difficult seasons.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to rekindle United’s interest and is keeping tabs on the youngster’s progress in Turin. Capable of playing in a variety of attacking roles, the 20-year-old will give United more options.

Meanwhile, Juventus are not keen to sell the player. Still young, his best is yet to come and their stance is understandable.

While Kulusevski is an exciting prospect, he is far from a ready proposition. United have a number of young players coming through. We could do with focussing on bringing in those who can perform from the get-go.

With Juventus also not keen on selling the player, this might just turn into a long-drawn-out saga. United can hardly afford to do that with a crucial summer transfer window to come and important players need to be signed to fill various gaps within the side.
