According to Calciomercato, Arsenal could become the latest team to enter the fray for Manchester United target Andre Silva.

The 25-year-old former AC Milan ace is enjoying a new lease of life at Eintracht Frankfurt. With 20 goals and 5 assists in 23 games, he has been exceptional this season and has also drawn interest from a plethora of clubs from across Europe. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Silva has two years left on his deal. The potential return of Luka Jovic could see Frankfurt hope to raise funds by selling Silva. This has caught the attention of United, who are keen to bring in a prolific goalscorer. (h/t The Sun)

While Atletico Madrid and Monaco are already keeping tabs on Silva, Arsenal could also enter the race if they fail to reach an agreement with Alexandre Lacazette.

The 29-year-old’s contract at the Emirates expires in 2022 and the Gunners are set to enter contract negotiations with him. Should their efforts fail, Silva is one of the players on their radar.

Frankfurt are willing to let go of their star striker for £30million. Given his age and potential, it would appear to be a fair price for a player entering his prime.

Speaking on the interest in his services, Silva recently claimed that it acts as motivation for him to do better. A move to United would certainly be a step up in his career.

Arsenal have done well under Mikel Arteta but are still miles away from being a competitive Champions League side. A move to the Emirates would be a step back for Silva, especially after the effort he put in to reignite his career.

Whether United will make a serious move to sign him in the summer remains to be seen.
