Eredivisie star’s agent gives transfer update amidst Man United links

Donny van de Beek agent unsure of player’s future

According to Voetbal International (h/t Manchester Evening News), the agent of Donny van de Beek has admitted that he is unsure of what the future holds for his client, amidst interest from Manchester United.

The attacking midfielder came to the limelight last season as Ajax came to within a whisker of making it to the Champions League final.

The 22-year-old popped with important goals away to Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively.

Van de Beek has continued to impress as he scored 10 goals and 11 assists this season prior to football being suspended.

“What’s going to happen to Donny? Nobody knows at the moment,” 

Real Madrid too are in the fray for the midfielder given his performances. They are not likely to have forgotten his performance at the Santiago Bernabeu last season.

The agent, Guido Albers confirmed that a number of sides are keen on his client. He went on to state that the situation at certain clubs have changed and what it curtails will be clear in the coming weeks.

Having come through the youth ranks at Ajax, the midfielder has gone on to make 175 appearances for Ajax while scoring 41 goals and 34 assists. 

Just 22, he can only get better and can turn into a key player for us in the coming years. Whether we sign him or not remains to be seen.
