Transfer News: Manchester United to offer one of four players in swap deal for Erling Haaland
According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United could offer one of their four players in order to sign Erling Haaland. The Red Devils could look to sweeten the deal for Borussia Dortmund by offering one of Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial or Amad Diallo.
The 20-year-old is one of the most in-demand players in world football at the moment. With a number of top teams in the fray to secure his signature, Borussia Dortmund are looking to strike gold this summer. Valued at a mammoth £150m, Haaland could be one of the most expensive transfers in this climate.
With that kind of money hard to throw these days, Manchester United will possibly look for a player plus cash deal. First, among the players, they could offer is new recruit, Van de Beek. The German side are said to be admirers of the player and with him struggling to settle in, United could put the pieces together.
The next is Anthony Martial, who has underwhelmed this season and this could work in the sense that Dortmund would be getting a like-to-like replacement.
A wild card could be Jesse Lingard, who has seen a renaissance since leaving United. Dortmund going after English players in recent years could tempt United to offer the Englishman.

Lastly, there is Amad Diallo but given the raw talent he is, it would likely be a loan deal. The German club are known to groom young players and Diallo could benefit from the temporary move.
This deal for Haaland could be immensely difficult to pull off given the tight finances. It will be interesting to see if United do go in the player-swap route.
