As confirmed by the club’s official account, Manchester United have signed Dutch star Donny van de Beek .

The 23-year-old has signed a five year deal and becomes the club’s first major signing of the summer.

Van de Beek came through the ranks of the famed Ajax youth system. He eventually made his senior debut in 2015 and played a key role as Dutch giants reached the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2019. He also featured in the 2017 Europa League final against United.

Van de Beek expressed his happiness at joining one of the biggest teams in football.

“I am now ready to take the next step in my career and perform at the highest level and there is no higher standard than Manchester United.”
