According to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano (h/t Mirror), Manchester United are expecting Serie A giants AS Roma to come back with a bid for Chris Smalling.

The 30-year-old is believed to be keen on returning to Roma, after having tasted success in his year-long stint. And, the Giallorossi too are interested in taking him on a permanent basis.

It is claimed that Roma had made an offer of £13m for Smalling in November last year itself. However, Manchester United rejected that bid. (h/t Mirror)

And now, reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Manchester United are anticipating a new offer from the Italian outfit in the near future. He also went on to add that United are also looking to add a new centre-back this summer.
