Manchester United fans react to Mino Raiola’s comments about Paul Pogba
Manchester United star Paul Pogba is once again at the centre of the storm in the battle of words between the club and superagent Mino Raiola.
Speaking to Tuttosport (h/t BBC), Raiola has revealed that his client is unhappy at United and is keen to leave the club in the upcoming window.
“Paul is unhappy. He is no longer able to express himself as he would like and as expected of him.”
With Pogba’s contract expiring in 2022, Raiola went on to admit that the midfielder is not keen to pen an extension. He believes the best solution would be for both sides to part ways.
“I think the best solution for the parties is to sell him in the next market.”
France’s national team manager Didier Deschamps too had recently opened up about the player being unhappy at United. It is fair to say that as things stand, the club may not have to endure him for much longer.
Raiola also took exception to United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s view on another one of his clients – Erling Braut Haaland.
He went on to add that the Norwegian would be better served getting the best out of Pogba than commenting on the Borussia Dortmund star.
Raiola’s comments coming on the eve of a massive match against RB Leipzig isn’t just self-serving but also unsettling for a side looking to ensure their continued participation in Europe’s premier competition.
Whether the revelations came with the blessings of Pogba remains unknown. It is bound to have done himself little favour going ahead.
