Galatasaray superstar has won a UCL award for a stunning strike against Manchester United
Manchester United are in the spotlight for the wrong reasons as Galatasaray Superstar has won the UCL goal of the Group Stage for a stunning strike against Erik ten Hag’s side.
Kerem Akturkoglu struck true to find the top right corner of the goal. There was nothing that Cameroonian goalkeeper, Andre Onana could do to keep this strike away from the goal.
However, this goal isn’t even the saddest part about Manchester United’s UCL journey this season. They were dead last in their group when they got knocked out, however, the team scored the same number of goals as group champions, Bayern Munich. This has to be a crushing for Erik ten Hag.
However, one positive outcome of Manchester United’s UCL journey this season would be Rasmus Hojlund. The young star has struggled to make an impact in the Premier League, however, he was on point and put on an impressive display in Europe.
The Danish striker scored five goals in only six UCL appearances. He even led the competition in goals at one point. If the Red Devils had come out of the group stage, it would’ve done wonders for the Dane’s development.
Despite that, fans will be happy to know that the team hasn’t lacked in trying to develop Hojlund. They have recently been linked to several experienced strikers. Manchester United are likely trying to land a player who can help the 20-year-old develop.

If the season were to end today Manchester United would not be a part of any European competitions next year. However, there is still hope for the team to mount a comeback and nab a top-six finish which will at least help them get to the Europa League.
