Manchester United star Paul Pogba responds to being asked about PSG switch

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has dismissed the idea of having made contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a potential move in the summer transfer window.

This revelation occurred during an interview organized by Infosport (h/t The Mirror). The United ace who was not part of the interview gatecrashed it to the surprise of Kingsley Coman and Presnel Kimpembe.

Both Coman and Kimpembe have connections with PSG. The former started off his career with the French giants while the latter is a regular starter for them today. While Pogba has no connection with the club, he grew up in Paris in the neighbourhood of Lagny-sur-Marne.

Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford runs out in 2022

Pogba’s contract at United expires next year. If no agreement can be reached regarding an extension, there is every chance United could cash in on him this summer. Both Kimpembe and Coman made use of the opportunity to probe into his chances of returning to Paris.

The United star dismissed claims of his contact with PSG, much to his teammates’ amusement. While it doesn’t really explain much, Pogba’s answer is perhaps as emphatic an answer as we can expect for now.

“Huh? No.”

Mino Raiola represents Pogba

While PSG is seen as a potential destination for the Frenchman, the chances of them making a bid this summer appears unlikely. The French giants are now targeting Achraf Hakimi and Gianluigi Donnarumma, having already signed Georginio Wijnaldum.
