Victor Lindelof blocked from joining Sweden squad by Manchester United
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have blocked defender Victor Lindelof from travelling to Denmark with the Swedish national team amid strict quarantine rules in the UK.
Following matchweek eight of the Premier League this past weekend, the final international break of the calendar year is underway.
Sweden are penned to take on Denmark in Brøndbyvester, this Wednesday evening. However, Manchester United have blocked Lindelof from joining the national team due to strict quarantine restrictions. (h/t Daily Mail)

Lindelof is not the only Premier League-based Swedish player to have been blocked from joining the national team squad. Apart from the United centre-back, the likes of Ken Sema, Robin Olsen, Emil Krafth and Filip Helander will also not be joining the side. (h/t Daily Mail)
In a statement, the Swedish FA said (h/t Daily Mail):
“Sweden’s five national team players from England and Scotland will not be available in the international training match against Denmark due to quarantine rules.”

Sweden head coach Janne Andersson confirmed that even if Lindelof had been available, he wasn’t planning on using him in the friendly. The manager wanted to give the defender some rest amid the strenuous club football schedule. (h/t MEN)
