Manchester United have already extended the contracts of three of their stars including Victor Lindelof
Manchester United have already extended the contracts of Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Hannibal Mejbri. The team has been actively taking a look at their contract situation this January.
They have also opted not to extend the contract of their star defender Raphael Varane. It is now common knowledge that the team will soon negotiate a new deal for the player with reduced wages.
There is also a slight chance that Varane will end up leaving the club when his contract runs out in the summer. Moreover, the team is also gearing up to talk to Anthony Martial about his contract.
The 28-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season. Earlier there was some talk about Manchester United wanting to move on from the player, but it looks like that was just talk after all.
Depending on his form during the upcoming days, we can also expect Martial to pen a new deal with the Red Devils. It is slowly becoming more and more likely that Old Trafford will have a silent January.
The team hasn’t been very active in their pursuit of players and that will likely not change due to a lack of funds. At this point, Manchester United might be preparing for a summer overhaul of their squad.
