Manchester United agree to contract terms with Jadon Sancho

Speaking on The Transfer Window Podcast (h/t Football.london), Ian McGarry has claimed that Borussia Dortmund Jadon Sancho has agreed a five-year contract with Manchester United.

The 20-year-old Sancho has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United for quite some time now. Since leaving our rivals Manchester City to join Dortmund in 2017, the winger has grown into one of the hottest young prospects across Europe.

The 2019/20 campaign has seen the England international produce an exceptional return of 20 goals and assists apiece across all competitions.

Dortmund are demanding a transfer fee in excess of £100m for Sancho. Manchester United, however, are unwilling to pay more than £50m for the England international. (h/t Sky Sports)

This could prove to be a problem. However, in spite of this, the Red Devils are believed to have agreed to terms on a five-year contract with the 20-year-old, according to McGarry. (h/t Football.london)

“It is our understanding that Sancho has agreed in principle in the last two weeks a five-year contract with Manchester United which will pay him initially £140,000 per week but increasing to around £200,000 per week over the course of that deal.”

This ought to come as good news for the supporters. While the attacking contingent has performed brilliantly since the turn of the year, a natural right-winger would take the team to another level.

Sancho, to that end, is a perfect target for us. With the contract agreed in principal, United will need to agree to a transfer fee with Dortmund. While there is a huge gulf between the two clubs’ valuation at the moment, hopefully, an agreement is reached in the coming weeks.
