Ben Jacobs says INEOS deal doesn’t necessarily mean that the Glazers will be gone from Manchester United

Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s company, INEOS has bought 25% of the Manchester United football team. They have taken control of the club’s football operations. News that made a lot of fans very happy.

New ownership led the fans to believe that the infamous Glazer family would finally be out of Old Trafford. But, much to everyone’s disappointment that might not be the case.

Ben Jacobs took to X (Twitter) to remind the fans that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s deal doesn’t necessarily guarantee that the Glazers will be leaving the club. Sir Jim reportedly wanted a ‘majority’ stake but the Glazers have no ‘obligation’ to sell.

This is news that has left a lot of fans disappointed. Many held the view that a change in ownership would allow the club to go back to its glory days. Now, that may no longer be the case.

As long as the Glazers are still at Manchester United the club may never fully prosper again. The never-ending cycle of mediocrity that fans have had to endure under the Glazers may yet persist.

It has also been reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe will have the option to buy additional stakes in the team as and when they are available. It might not be today but the Glazers will eventually be thrown out.

More Manchester United News-

While it’s not what most expected it sure is nice to see some changes being made at Old Trafford.

On the brighter side of things, INEOS has been given full control of the Manchester United teams. Big changes may soon be afoot, and if we’re lucky an exciting transfer window could be in store next month.
