According to The Sun, Manchester United will have to face off against Aston Villa who are also looking to sign Ex-Premier League flop Timo Werner. The Lions are looking to get the 27-year-old on a loan deal.

A disastrous stint with Chelsea led to the player departing from the Premier League. He has since found a second life with RB Leipzig. Now, a return to the Premier League seems to be in the books for the German striker.

Manchester United who have been struggling to find the back of the net could greatly benefit from adding Werner to their ranks. However, Aston Villa will not make it so easy for the Red Devils.
