Manchester United have set a price tag of £40–£45 million on Scott McTominay amidst interest from Premier League rivals West Ham United, according to The Telegraph.

The Hammers are planning on making a move for the Scotland international in the ongoing transfer window. However, the Red Devils are looking for a massive deal to part ways with the midfielder.

As things stand, the Old Trafford side are open to keeping a hold of the 26-year-old this summer unless a suitable offer arrives. There are other players in the middle of the park the club are trying to move on from at the moment.

Fred has been placed on the market. United are hoping to get £20 million from the Brazil international’s sale. Fulham, Galatasaray and clubs in Saudi Arabia are eyeing the 30-year-old.

Donny van de Beek has also been deemed surplus to requirements and could leave the club soon. As a result, McTominay is in no hurry to decide his future. The Scottish national is willing to wait and see how United’s squad will shape up in the coming weeks before making a decision.

The 26-year-old has made his way through the youth ranks at the Old Trafford side. Over the years, the midfielder has established himself as a key player in the Red Devils’ first-team setup.

However, McTominay found himself on the bench most often last season. Erik ten Hag preferred the partnership of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in the double pivot position in his first year in charge of United.

We have also added Mason Mount to our ranks this summer. The Red Devils seemingly cannot afford too many departures from the engine room this summer. It remains to be seen whether the Scottish national will stay at the Old Trafford side.
