Manchester United will make a ‘serious attempt’ to sign Serbia and Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window, according to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (h/t Express).
Due to the ongoing uncertainty in the hierarchy at the Bianconeri, the 22-year-old is being linked with a move away from Turin. The Old lady are also in financial trouble after failing to make it out of the group stage of the Champions League.
The Red Devils are in need of a new forward after Cristiano Ronaldo’s untimely departure. The 37-year-old left the Old Trafford side just before the start of the World Cup in Qatar.
United are now seen as a realistic destination for Vlahovic next month. However, we will face competition from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League, while Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also eyeing the striker.
The Serbian joined Juventus in this year’s winter transfer window. In the current campaign, the 22-year-old has made 15 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions, finding the back of the net seven times and providing two assists.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both evidently in need of a striker. Armando Broja got injured for the Blues, while Gabriel Jesus has been sidelined for Mikel Arteta’s team.
On the other hand, Bayern are yet to replace Roberto Lewandowski. Sadio Mane was the Bundesliga giants’ marquee forward signing in the summer of 2022.
After Ronaldo’s departure, United are left with only one natural striker in Anthony Martial. Apart from the Frenchman, Marcus Rashford has also played up top for Erik ten Hag this season.

However, it would be wise for the Red Devils to bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window. And Vlahovic is someone who is still young and has the potential to make it to the top.
