Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix prefers PSG move over Manchester United or Arsenal transfer
Joao Felix would prefer a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) from Atletico Madrid over a transfer to Premier League outfits Manchester United or Arsenal, according to Sky Sports Italy via Get French Football News (h/t Mirror).
The Portugal international wants to leave Los Rojiblancos after falling out with manager Diego Simeone. As a result, a number of teams from around Europe, including the Red Devils and the Gunners, are being linked with his signature.
From the English top flight, Aston Villa are also eyeing an audacious move for the 23-year-old. However, the forward would like to join the French champions.
As per Les Parisien via Get French Football News (h/t Mirror), PSG are interested in Felix’s signature. The Parc des Princes side already have a stacked attack with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lione Messi. However, the Argentina international’s future at the club is uncertain.
As for Arsenal, they signed Gabriel Jesus in the recent transfer window from Manchester City. The Brazilian has been the one leading the line for Mikel Arteta’s team for most of the campaign. However, he picked up an injury at the 2022 World Cup.
The Atletico star signed for the La Liga outfit in the summer of 2019 from SL Benfica. However, the 23-year-old has failed to live up to the expectations in Madrid.
While the forward has struggled in Spain, he shone at the World Cup in Qatar. The youngster was a pivotal player for Fernando Santos’ team as they reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious tournament. But Morocco shocked everyone by defeating Portugal.
United recently lost Cristiano Ronaldo. The 37-year-old left the club midway through the season. His untimely departure has dwindled Erik ten hag’s options up front.
