Paul Parker urges Manchester United to sign the United States and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic
Former Manchester United star Paul Parker has urged Manchester United to sign the United States and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic. The ex-Red Devil believes the 24-year-old would be a good addition to Erik ten Hag’s squad.
The forward signed for the Blues in the winter window of 2019 and moved to West London that summer after spending the rest of the 2018/19 season at Borussia Dortmund.
Speaking to BonusCodeBets (h/t Express), Parker, who spent five years at the Old Trafford side, admires Pulisic. And the former defender wants United to go after the USMNT star.
“I really like Pulisic. Man United could be a really good option, but I’m not sure if Chelsea would allow him to move to a bigger club. But he would be a good addition to the squad as he can play multiple positions. I definitely think that he is a player Man United should go for.”
The 24-year-old made his way through the South ranks at Dortmund. After thriving in the Bundesliga, the Stamford Bridge side decided to bring him to England.
Unfortunately, Pulisic has been underwhelming during his time in the Premier League. The forward has failed to make an impact. As a result, the USMNT star has struggled to cement his place in Chelsea’s starting lineup.
However, currently, the 24-year-old is thriving in Qatar with his national team. The United States have qualified for the World Cup’s round of 16 after finishing second in Group B and the Blues winger has been crucial to their play.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s abrupt departure from United has reduced Ten Hag’s options up front. While the Portuguese was not the Dutch manager’s first choice, he did play an important role in the starting lineup in the final few fixtures for the Red Devils before the mid-season break.
Now, the former Ajax head coach has Anthony Martial, who has been unreliable in the current campaign due to his injuries, and Marcus Rashford, who is not a natural striker.

Thus, a number nine is evidently a priority for the Old Trafford side. However, we could get a winger like Pulisic and permanently push Rashford to the centre-forward position for the rest of the season and beyond, if need be.
