Manchester United players have problems with tactical changes made by Erik ten Hag

Erik ten Hag and his players have struggled to make a difference at Manchester United this season. The team has often been underequipped and other times they have been too mentally weak to see themselves to victory.

If the Dutchman hadn’t managed to sneak past Coventry City in the FA Cup Semifinals he might’ve already been sacked. But, Ten Hag is still at the helm and is now making desperate changes to cling to his job.

Independent reports that Man United players have even ‘privately complained’ about his sudden tactical changes. Erik ten Hag has made some truly questionable calls over the last few months.

During the FA Cup semifinals, he got so desperate that he played Antony at LB during the closing minutes of the game. The Brazilian may have been off the mark this season but he was one of United’s best players during that game against Liverpool.

Moreover, while he put Antony at LB, 31-year-old Harry Maguire was making runs into the opposition’s penalty box. It is changes like this that make people question the Dutchman’s ability to coach.

However, the constant barrage of criticism plaguing Erik ten Hag might soon come to an end. Currently, all signs indicate that he will be sacked over the summer.
