Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker lambast Mark Goldbridge for spreading toxicity around the club.
Former Manchester United defender Paul Parker accuses Mark Goldbridge of pretending to be a United fan. Furthermore, Parker called Goldbridge a problem, claiming that the YouTuber uses his big platform to attack the club.
Goldbridge has four YouTube channels: “The United Stand”, “Mark Goldbridge That’s Football” “Mark Goldbridge That’s Entertainment” and “Mark Goldbridge”. Every YouTube channel, except for “Mark Goldbridge,” dedicates itself to the Red Devils.
The 44-year-old is a former police officer and saw his reputation rise as a YouTube personality in recent years. Goldbridge currently has 1.75M subscribers in his main account “The United Stand” which started as “Soccer Box TV” in 2014.
Parker told BonusCodeBets (h/t Manchester Evening News) about Goldbridge’s loyalty and the toxicity of his huge platform against United. He said:
“I don’t like what Mark Goldbridge is doing. It’s a problem. He has no relationship to Man United; he is a Nottingham Forest fan. He is attacking the club, the manager, and the owners of a football club that you don’t even love. He has no inner feeling with the club and it’s a scary but incredible feeling to have to be that invested in a club that you don’t support.”
Manchester United legend Gary Neville refused to have the 44-year-old on Sky’s Overlap show. The action suggested his dislike for the YouTube pundit.
The YouTube personality has been lauded by many fans for his unbiased analysis of the matter surrounding United. Goldbridge has been open about his favouritism and bias as he welcomes other people’s opinions as well.
Parker has been highly critical himself as recently he slammed United forward Marcus Rashford’s performances. The former United defender called Rashford “selfish” and “petulant” in his tirade due to poor performances from the 25-year-old.
