Manchester United to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool for ‘number one target’ Jude Bellingham
Jude Bellingham has been identified as the ‘number one target’ by Manchester United, with Manchester City and Liverpool also in the race for the midfielder, according to Sky Sport reporter Florian Plettenberg on Twitter.
Erik ten Hag is keen for the club to sign the England international in 2023. The Old Trafford side have scouted him on a number of occasions. The Red Devils believe a move for the 19-year-old will cost in the region of €150 million.
However, the chances of United getting a hold of Bellingham’s is unlikely due to the competition in the midfielder’s signature. The Cityzens and Merseysiders are keeping an eye on him as well. And Financial Fairplay is also an obstacle for the Red Devils.

The 19-year-old joined the Bundesliga outfit in the summer of 2022 from Birmingham City. Since then, the England international has been a key member of the German club’s first team.
In the current campaign, the midfielder has taken even bigger strides with BVB. He has been handed the captain’s armband on a few occasions by Edin Terzic.
Bellingham also seems likely to play a key role for England in Qatar. Gareth Southgate started the 19-year-old against Italy and Germany in the last international break.
United signed Christian Eriksen as a free agent in the summer of 2022. The 30-year-old has been pivotal under Ten Hag. And the impact he has had has surprised some fans.
Casemiro also signed for the Old Trafford side in the recent transfer window. The Brazilian has added seemingly much-needed quality in the defensive midfield position for us.
