Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi interested in Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek
Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is attracting interest from Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi. The Holland international could move to the Serie A outfit in January, according to Fichajes via Sport Witness (h/t Manchester Evening News).
Van de Beek made his way to United in 2020. However, he has not featured much in his time at Old Trafford. And Inzaghi is the ‘main supporter’ of the 25-year-old moving to Inter.
The Serie A giants are interested in bringing Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Milan. However, the United midfielder is seen as a more reasonable alternative to the Serbian by the Nerazzurri.
Van de Beek has mostly been seated on the bench in the last couple of seasons. In the 2021/22 campaign, he did not start a single Premier League game for the Red Devils. And in January, the Holland international made his way to Everton on loan.
Erik ten Hag took over the reins at the Manchester-based club at the end of last season. And the Dutch manager has previously managed Van de Beek at Ajax. The two had found success with each other in their time together with De Godenzonen.
Fans thought the arrival of Ten Hag would help kick-start the midfielder’s career at United. However, that has not been the case as of yet.
Van de Beek featured a lot during the pre-season. But the gaffer has preferred the other options at his disposal in the squad. The 25-year-old has not played since coming on in the final minutes against Liverpool in the league.

Christian Eriksen, Scott McTominay and Bruno Fernandes are in top form at the moment. And Ten Hag has chosen to stick with the three in the middle of the park for the majority of games up until now. Will Van de Beek leave on loan again in January if the situation does not change? It remains to be seen.
