Transfer News: Youri Tielemans not convinced by Manchester United move
According to CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs via Football.London (h/t Manchester Evening News), Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans is not necessarily convinced by a move to Manchester United as of now.
Youri Tielemans has been linked with a move away from the Foxes and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the talented midfielder. However, the talented Belgian is not really enticed by a move to the Red Devils.
Tielemans is one of the most talented midfielders in the Premier League over the last few seasons and has performed at an exceptional level for Leicester City for quite some time now. His performances have impressed one and all and many clubs are interested in him.
The 25-year-old joined Leicester from Monaco in 2019 after initially impressing with the Foxes on loan. After three seasons with the Premier League club, the Belgian seems to be ready for his next big move.
With a contract that expires in 2023 and Tielemans not renewing his current deal with the Foxes, if the PL club want to get any value for their prized asset, it can only be done this summer or they risk losing him for free.
Even if Leicester sell him this summer, his current club would know they can’t demand an exorbitant fee given his contract situation, unless they are open to losing him on a free. PL clubs are interested in the talented midfielder but Tielemans needs to make a choice.
The former Monaco man is supposedly not too enticed by the prospect of going to Manchester United nor does he want to make the transfer to Arsenal. He can choose the club he wants to join next but he might have to be quick about it.
Tielemans played 50 games for Brendan Rodger’s side this season scoring seven goals and providing five assists across all competitions. He is excellent when playing in a box-to-box role and can be of immense value to any club.

Manchester United could do with a signing of Youri Tielemans’ quality but we need the player to want to come to Old Trafford. It is of no use signing players that don’t believe in the project that ten Hag could be implementing here.
