Manchester United ‘revive’ interest in Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via GIVEMESPORT (h/t Manchester Evening News) Manchester United have resumed their pursuit of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.
There are other interested parties besides the Red Devils, with Arsenal being one of them. The Gunners might have an advantage currently, but the Old Trafford outfit isn’t backing down easily.
If the player doesn’t sign a new contract with the Foxes before his current one expires next summer, he will become available next summer for free of cost, and Leicester would know that.
It should be noted that Frenkie de Jong appears to be Man United’s top midfield target. A player of Tielemans’ calibre on a cut-price deal, though, does not occur frequently, and he will unquestionably be worth it.
Last season, the 25-year-old played 50 times for Brendan Rodger’s team, contributing five assists and seven goals in all competitions. We can certainly do worse than Tielemans, who has shown at Monaco, Leicester, and Belgium that he can be a very able central midfielder on both ends of the field.
For quite a few years now, Man United have struggled in midfield. The Red Devils need reinforcements for the upcoming season, which is made worse by the subsequent departures.
If Tielemans is willing to relocate, Man United must seriously consider signing him. Combining him with Frenkie de Jong would be one of the smartest moves the Red Devils could make right now because at 25, he still has his best years ahead of him.

Let’s hope that we are successful in closing this deal and signing the Leicester midfielder as soon as feasible. For the player, this would be an upgrade given the notable gap between the Foxes and the Red Devils as a club.
And with the departure of the likes of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, he can be rest assured that playing time won’t be hard to come by.
