Manchester United ‘interested’ in Leicester City duo Youri Tielemans and James Maddison
The Belgian and England internationals are being looked at as potential signings for the Red Devils next summer. It remains to be seen whether the Old Trafford side will end up signing either of them.
At the moment, Tielemans’ current contract expires at the end of the season. It is highly likely that the 25-year-old will part ways with the Foxes in the upcoming transfer window.
The Belgian joined the King Power Stadium side in January 2019 from AS Monaco. Since then, the midfielder has been a key player for the club from the East Midlands and has developed into a quality box-to-box star.
As for Maddison, he signed for Leicester in the summer of 2018 from Norwich City. Over the years, the playmaker has grown from strength to strength and has become one of the best players in the Premier League.
In the current campaign, the 26-year-old has been pivotal for Brendan Rodgers’ team, who are struggling. The English national has made 17 appearances in the English top flight for the Foxes, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.

Maddison’s form also saw him get a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad for the 2022 World Cup. However, the 26-year-old did not get to feature for the Three Lions in Qatar.
United added Casemiro and Christian Eriksen to their ranks in the summer of 2022. While the two have been impressive, the Red Devils seemingly lack depth in the middle of the park. We had to sign Marcel Sabitzer on loan on deadline day last month.

Tielemans and Maddison would evidently add more quality to the Red Devils squad. Hopefully, the Old Trafford side will be able to convince at least one of them to join next summer.
