Manchester United are in contact with the agent of free-agent Paulo Dybala
According to @DiMarzio via @mufcMPB on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United are currently in talks with the agent of Argentine forward Paulo Dybala over a potential move to Old Trafford this summer.
The 28-year-old is now a free agent after his contract at Juventus expired. Although an agreement to transfer him to Inter Milan has stalled, Manchester United have been aware of the situation.
United seem to be attempting to sabotage Inter Milan’s pursuit of Dybala. Romelu Lukaku was also signed by the Italians, raising questions about whether they now require the Argentine or not..
The Red Devils are currently speaking with the player’s agents after entering the picture. The forward can be seen by Erik ten Hag as a potential successor to Cristiano Ronaldo, who has asked to depart.
Although Dybala has been hesitant to leave Italy, the lack of options there at the moment could persuade him to move to England. That is only natural, given he may not want to settle for less given his talent and age.
Going into the upcoming campaign, there is a lot of ambiguity regarding our right-wing situation. We don’t have a reliable starter who can perform well in that position, after all.
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho was moved to the left wing and that is where he has performed best. Mason Greenwood’s indefinite suspension creates a gap in the attack that needs to be filled before the start of the following term.
Dybala would be ideal for our team in this scenario since he can play multiple positions in the attack. He is especially well-suited for that role because of his ability to cut in from the right to shoot on goal or thread through balls.
During his time at Juventus, Dybala developed into perhaps one of the best players in Serie A. He contributed to them winning five Serie A championships and four Coppa Italias with 115 goals in 293 appearances.
At Juventus, Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo worked together for three years, developing a potent attacking connection. They contributed to the team’s Serie A and Coppa Italia victories. Hence United would also be able to take advantage of this partnership if the Portuguese stars stay at the club beyond the summer window.
