Jesse Lingard and Hannibal Mejbri return to Manchester United training
According to MEN, Manchester United duo Jesse Lingard and Hannibal Mejbri have returned to pre-season training. Both players were seen at Carrington ahead of United’s first friendly game against Derby County on Sunday.
Lingard seems to be back at United after his solid loan spell at West Ham. There has been speculation over his future but he trained with the squad on Friday. The Hammers are still interested in the 28-year-old but he is likely to at least play the pre-season games for United.
The 18-year-old Mejbri is one of the club’s top prospects and is held in high regard at Old Trafford. The Tunisian made his debut for the senior team on the last day of the Premier League season against Wolves and showed some neat touches. He was allowed a few extra days off after his international exploits.
Both the midfielders returned to training for the first time since the end of the season. Lingard, being one of the few senior players available on the side, will likely feature in most of the friendlies. Mejbri will also be hoping to get some valuable minutes under his belt ahead of the season.
