Iconic Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson opens up on his health issues in his documentary
According to Daily Star, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson opened up on his health issues in his documentary.
A documentary on his life was released and he revealed that he was no longer in control of his health after the brain haemorrhage he suffered in 2018.
The Scot looked back on his legendary career at the helm of Manchester United for 23 years and claimed that he thrived in the role that was given to him.
There’s an element of truth to that with his 13 Premier League title, 5 FA Cups and 2 Champions League titles as proof.
Ferguson was the absolute man in charge of most things at United but in his recent documentary ‘Never Give In’, he revealed that he felt that he lost control of his health when he suffered a brain haemorrhage three years back.
“Regarding my health, I’m not actually in control. In the football world, and at United, I’m in control of the situation. It’s vital because a player cannot do it himself.
A player is only part of the team. The manager is in control of that. He’s in control of all that destiny. Dealing with the press, the referees, the rivals.
I’ve got to make decisions that are correct. You have to make really difficult decisions. I’m telling you, I was never afraid of that. I never looked back. I was crying, felt helpless. I would have hated to lose my memory. I would have been a terrible burden on my family.”
