Harry Kane is a transfer target for Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid.

Transfer News: Micah Richards says Harry Kane is best suited to Manchester United

Speaking on Sky Sports (h/t The Express), Micah Richards stated that a move to Manchester United is ‘best suited’ for Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane amidst transfer links.

Kane has told Tottenham that he wants to leave N17 in the summer after a disappointing season. The 27-year-old is yet to win a trophy with Spurs and this was a calamity for the North Londoners.

They were knocked out by Dinamo Zagreb from the UEFA Europa League while also missing out on UEFA Champions League next season. Amid this, he continues to be linked with a move away from Spurs.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City have all taken an interest in signing him. The Cityzens are looking to fill the void that will be left by the veteran striker, Sergio Aguero. (h/t The Express)

A move to United on the cards?

Chelsea and United would both look to strengthen their frontline going into the season. And according to Richards, the Manchester clubs could spend around £100million on Kane, if that was the price tag set by Daniel Levy.

“£100million? I don’t want to talk on behalf of Man City or Man United, but I think £100m, they could do. When you start talking about £150m, it makes no sense to do that.”

The former Manchester City defender went on to underline that a move to Old Trafford would be best for Kane. But he says, that the move should come at a price lower than £150million, considering the post-pandemic economy of football.

“With Harry Kane, you’re going to get ready-made success. I think he’s best suited to Man United, I know Cavani has signed an extension there. £150m is too much, after the pandemic with everything that has happened. It’s too much money.”

More Manchester United News:

It remains to be seen where Kane goes next. United have tied down Edinson Cavani for another season but that is not a long-term solution, something which signing Kane would offer.
