Transfer News: Manchester United interested in Dusan Vlahovic
According to transfer news from Sport Witness, Manchester United have joined the race for Dusan Vlahovic. The Red Devils are now among the suitors for the Fiorentina striker if reports from Italy are to be believed.
The 21-year-old Serbian has caught the fancy of United with a number of inspired performances for La Viola. He joined the Italians from Partizan in 2018 and has since made 79 appearances, scoring 25 goals and four assists.
Fiorentina are currently in a disappointing 14th position in the Italian top flight. The lone bright spot has been Vlahovic. With 17 goals and two assists in 28 appearances, he has really come into his own this season.
The youngster’s potential is now clear for all to see and Fiorentina is keen to keep hold of their prized possession. Club resident Rocco Commisso wants a staggering €60m transfer for the Serbian striker in case clubs want to sign him in the summer.
Manchester United have been a pleasure to watch this season but there are still some questions regarding the futures of certain players. In attack, especially, there is a huge decision to be made.
Anthony Martial started out as the first choice only to lose his spot to a certain Cavani. Regardless of whether the veteran striker stays for another season, United will need a prolific striker for the long run.

Vlahovic is still very much in the early stages of his career but has shown potential. Fiorentina are keen on holding on to him but given the amount of interest, it will be interesting to see if he stays in Florence beyond this season.
He could prove to be a shrewd piece of business for a club crying out for a goalscorer to take them forward.
