Manchester United get huge injury boost ahead of game against Arsenal

Manchester United could have two of their best players back for the game against Arsenal

Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways as they prepare to take on Arsenal this Sunday. Erik ten Hag’s side has been in abysmal form in the Premier League winning just one of their last seven games.

The upcoming game against the Gunners will be huge for the team who are now fighting to claim a spot in the Europa League. Mikel Arteta and his team will also be fighting hard since a win will help them extend their lead at the top of the table.

The Standard reports that Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford have been spotted training with the first team. A huge boost for the Red Devils ahead of an even bigger game.

Erik ten Hag has been scrambling for options on defence these past few weeks. Earlier he had Harry Maguire as his only healthy centre-back and now he’s just down to Jonny Evans. Man United took the pitch against Crystal Palace with Casemiro and Evans starting at CB.

However, the Eagles were too much for the pair of defenders as United lost 4-0. The Dutchman was in serious need of some defensive reinforcements and the return of Lisandro Martinez will provide a massive boost.

Moreover, Marcus Rashford as bad as he has been this season, will also be a welcome addition to Ten Hag’s depleted squad. Hopefully, the two can get up to full speed before United take the pitch against Arsenal this Sunday.
